Description:

Commvault is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Backup and Disaster Recovery to join its growing technical support organization. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex cloud infrastructure challenges, working directly with enterprise customers, and helping organizations protect and recover their critical data.

As a Tier 2 Technical Support Specialist, you will become a subject matter expert on Commvault's Clumio platform and support customers across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure environments. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and product teams to troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and improve the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer issues and requests through phone, chat, and ticketing systems.
  • Provide technical support for cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and data protection issues.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to resolve customer problems.
  • Build strong relationships with Enterprise and Premier customers.
  • Participate in customer health checks and operational reviews.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Educate customers on platform capabilities and industry best practices.
  • Share customer feedback with product and engineering teams to improve the platform.
  • Take ownership of issues from identification through successful resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, storage, networking, databases, and security services.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Backup and Disaster Recovery methodologies.
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Possession of at least one Associate-level cloud certification (AWS or GCP).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with enterprise customers in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to support customers during US East and EMEA business hours.
